Ingredients
1 c Heavy cream
2 Cinnamon sticks
1/2 Vanilla bean
1 tb All-purpose flour
1 pt Blueberries
3/4 c Sugar
1 pt Raspberries
1 Prebaked tart shell;
6 Eggs
1 1/2 c Milk
1 ts Minced lemon zest
Directions
Step #1 Heat milk & cream with vanilla bean & cinnamon sticks.
Step #2 Scald and let cool, then strain out vanilla bean & cinnamon sticks.
Step #3 Into strained mixture, whisk in flour, sugar, eggs & lemon zest and transfer mixture to a pitcher or a pour spout.
Step #4 Assemble berries in pre-baked, room-temperature tart shell.
Step #5 Raspberries should be top down (with opening down).
Step #6 Tightly packed but only one layer of fruit.
Step #7 Pour just enough batter over berries to almost come up even with fruit.
Step #8 Be careful not to put too much, but enough to fill in all the spaces & come 5/6ths of the way up the berries.
Step #9 Bake 15 to 20 mins at 350 degrees until set & slightly brown on top.
