Corn Pudding Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 1 tb sliced parsley
  • 2 c Fresh corn kernels; cut from the cob
  • 1 ts sliced thyme
  • 1 pn Cayenne
  • 1/4 c Sugar
  • 2 c Whole milk
  • 3 tb Unsalted butter; melted
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 ts Freshly grated nutmeg

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step #2 Butter a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  • Step #3 In a large bowl using a whisk, beat the eggs.
  • Step #4 Add the milk, pouring in a steady stream while whisking.
  • Step #5 Add the melted butter, cayenne, parsley, thyme, salt, nutmeg, sugar & corn.
  • Step #6 Mix to mix.
  • Step #7 Pour the mixture into the prepared dish.
  • Step #8 Place the casserole dish in a deep roasting pan, & fill with boiling water until it reaches halfway up the sides.
  • Step #9 place this in the oven & bake, until set, about for 35 to 40 mins.
  • Step #10 Serve as soon as possible, or let set for up to 30 mins at room temperature.
