Cranberry Ice-cream Squares With Chocolate-cookie Crust Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 qt Pure; unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 4 Tangerines
  • 3 c Amber rum; if desired
  • 1/2 c Whole cloves
  • 2 c Sugar; or to taste

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut tangerines crosswise into 1/4-inch-thick rounds & remove seeds.
  • Step #2 Stud rind of each tangerine round with 4 or 5 cloves.
  • Step #3 In a large saucepan simmer cranberry juice, tangerine rounds, & suagr, covered, 5 mins & stir in the rum.
  • Step #4 Serve toddies with clove-studded tangerine rounds in heatproof glasses.
  • Step #5 Yield: about 16 c.
