Cranberry Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c Cranberries
  • 1 tb Cornstarch
  • Juice & sliced zest of 1 orange
  • 1 ts Cinnamon
  • 1/2 c Sugar; or more if needed
  • 1/4 c Port wine

Directions
  • Step #1 In a small saucepan mix cranberries, port, orange juice & zest, sugar & cinnamon.
  • Step #2 Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmering and cook this until cranberries are tender, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #3 In a small c make a slurry with cornstarch & 1 tbsp water.
  • Step #4 Whisk cornstarch mixture into cranberry sauce & cook, whisking, until sauce thickens.
  • Step #5 Taste & add more sugar, if necessary.
  • Step #6 This recipe yields about 2 c of sauce.
