Creamy Vegetable Bake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 300F ml Milk;
  • 500 g Potatoes; peeled, sliced and boiled
  • 1 200 gram tub Quark
  • 500 g Potatoes; peeled, sliced and boiled
  • 125 g Cambazola cheese; sliced
  • 25 g Plain flour;
  • 2 Onions; sliced
  • 50 g Butter;
  • 2 Carrots; sliced
  • Salt & freshly ground black pepper
  • 175 g White cabbage; shredded
  • 175 g Red cabbage; shredded

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 Heat half the butter in a pan & cook the cabbage, carrots and onions for 5-6 mins, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #3 Transfer to an ovenproof dish.
  • Step #4 2.
  • Step #5 Heat most of the remaining butter in the pan, stir in the the flour & cook for 1 min.
  • Step #6 3.
  • Step #7 slowly stir in the the milk & cook for 1-2 mins until thick and smooth.
  • Step #8 4.
  • Step #9 Beat in the quark, cheese & Spice uping to taste.
  • Step #10 Pour over the cabbage mixture.
  • Step #11 5.
  • Step #12 Arrange the sliced potatoes on top.
  • Step #13 Melt the remaining butter and brush over the top.
  • Step #14 6.
  • Step #15 place this in a preheated oven 200 C, 400F F, Gas Mark 6 for 25 mins or until the potatoes are golden.
  • Step #16 For an extra crispy top, place under a preheated hot grill for 2-3 mins before serving.
