Crisp Butter Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tb Baking powder
  • 1 c Vegetable oil
  • 6 1/2 c All-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 c Brandy
  • 3 tb Aniseeds
  • 2 Egg whites
  • 1/3 c Thawed orange juice concentrate; undiluted
  • 1 1/2 c Sugar
  • 1/2 c Sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 mix 1-1/2 c sugar & oil in a bowl; stir well.
  • Step #2 Add orange juice & next 6 ingredients (orange juice through egg whites); stir until well-mixed.
  • Step #3 slowly add flour, 1 c at a time, stirring until well mixed.
  • Step #4 Shape dough into a ball, & wrap in plastic wrap; chill 1 hr.
  • Step #5 Divide dough into 4 equal portions.
  • Step #6 Roll each portion of dough to 1/8-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface; cut with a 2-1/2-inch round cutter.
  • Step #7 Place cookies on baking sheets.
  • Step #8 mix 1/2 c sugar & cinnamon; Sprinkle top on top of cookies.
  • Step #9 bake this at 350 degrees for 12 mins or until lightly brown around edges.
