Crispy Bury Black Pudding Wontons Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tb Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Egg; beaten
  • 250 g Skinless frankfurters
  • 150 g Ricotta cheeese
  • 2 tb Tomato sauce
  • 100 g Frozen sliced spinach
  • 4 Sheets puff pastry
  • 2 tb Grated cheese

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 First make the fillings.
  • Step #3 For the frankfurt filling, slice the frankfurters into quarters then slice each quarter in half.
  • Step #4 For the spinach, defrost the spinach & squeeze out all the liquid.
  • Step #5 Mix with the ricotto & parmesan.
  • Step #6 2.
  • Step #7 Lay one sheet of pastry on the bench & cut into quarters so that you have four smaller squares.
  • Step #8 Repeat with remaining pastry.
  • Step #9 3.
  • Step #10 For the frankfurters, spread a little tomato sauce on half of each little square.
  • Step #11 Put a piece of frankfurter on top & Sprinkle top some cheese over.
  • Step #12 For the spinach triangles, put a large tspful of filling on half of the square.
  • Step #13 4.
  • Step #14 To seal the triangle, brush a little egg on the edges of the square then lift up one corner of pastry & fold over the filling, & putting it on top of the remaining pastry.
  • Step #15 5.
  • Step #16 With a fork, press all around the edges to seal.
  • Step #17 6.
  • Step #18 bake this at 220c.
  • Step #19 for 20 mins until golden brown.
