Asparagus Salad With Roasted Herbs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 ts Rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tb sliced pickled ginger
  • Kosher salt; to taste
  • 1 1/2 lb Fresh asparagus
  • Freshly-ground black pepper; to taste
  • 4 tb Dark sesame oil
  • 1/4 ts Wasabi powder
  • 1 ts sliced shallots

Directions
  • Step #1 Prepare a charcoal fire.
  • Step #2 In a small bowl, mix the shallots, wasabi powder, pickled ginger, rice wine vinegar & sesame oil.
  • Step #3 Whisk thoroughly to mix.
  • Step #4 Spice up to taste with salt & pepper Brush the asparagus with some of the vinaigrette.
  • Step #5 Grill the asparagus over hot coals until bright green & tender.
  • Step #6 Serve the asparagus drizzled with the remaining vinaigrette.
