Creamy Broccoli Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c milk
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, cubed
  • 2 tbsps butter
  • 1 c crushed buttery round crackers
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsps all-purpose flour
  • 1 (16 oz) package frozen broccoli, thawed

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Place broccoli in a steamer over 1 inch of boiling water, & cover.
  • Step #3 Cook until tender but still firm, about 4 to 6 mins; drain.
  • Step #4 Melt butter in a large saucepan over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #5 Stir in salt, flour, & milk.
  • Step #6 Cook, stirring constantly, until thick & bubbly.
  • Step #7 Stir in cream cheese until melted.
  • Step #8 Remove from heat, & stir in the broccoli.
  • Step #9 Sprinkle top 1/2 c of crushed crackers over the bottom of a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.
  • Step #10 Slowly pour the broccoli mixture into the dish, & top this with remaining crushed crackers.
  • Step #11 Bake in preheated oven for 30 mins.
