Coffee Coffeecake With Espresso Glaze Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 pt Coffee ice cream, slightly s 1/2 c Almonds, sliced & toasted ftened Dark chocolate sauce
  • 1 1/2 c Chocolate wafer crumbs 1 1/2 c Amaretti, crushed

Directions
  • Step #1 In a bowl with a fork, stir this together the crumbs & butter until the mixture is well mixd.
  • Step #2 Pat the mixture onto the bottom & 1-inch up the sides of a lightly oiled 8-inch, 2-1/2-inch deep springform pan.
  • Step #3 Freeze crust for 30 mins or until firm.
  • Step #4 Spread ice cream evenly on the crust & return to freezer for 30 mins or until ice cream is firm.
  • Step #5 In a bowl with an electric mixer, beat cream with vanilla until it holds stiff peaks, fold in amaretti thoroughly & spread over ice cream.
  • Step #6 Smooth top of cake, & freeze cake for 30-45 mins, Sprinkle top with almonds, or until top is firm.
  • Step #7 Freeze cake, covered with plastic wrap & foil, overnight.
  • Step #8 Just before serving, wrap a warm damp towel around the side of the pan, remove side of pan, & transfer cake to a serving plate.
  • Step #9 Cut into wedges with a knife dipped in hot water & serve it with the Dark Chocolate Sauce.
