24 Hour Vegetable Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tb Salt
  • 2 ts Celery seed
  • 2 Green peppers, sliced
  • 2 md Onions, finely sliced
  • 1 c Water
  • 2 ts Mustard seed
  • 2 Red peppers, sliced
  • 1 c Cider vinegar
  • 2 c Sugar
  • 3 lb Cabbage, shredded

Directions
  • Step #1 mix salt, sugar, vinegar, water, celery seed & mustard seed and bring to a boil.
  • Step #2 Pour over vegetables.
  • Step #3 Chill.
  • Step #4 Store, covered, in the refrigerator.
  • Step #5 Keep 24 hrs before serving.
  • Step #6 Will keep well if kept tightly covered & put in the fridged.
