  • 2 tb Chutney
  • 2 lb Ground beef
  • 3/4 c Milk
  • 2 ts Sugar
  • 1 ts Pepper
  • 1 tb Apricot jam
  • 1 ts Turmeric
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 ts Cayenne pepper
  • 1 Handful raisins
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 5 sm Onions, coarsely cut
  • 1 ts Ground ginger
  • 2 ts Curry powder
  • 1 tb Lemon juice

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 Warm a heavy pot.
  • Step #3 Put in first 8 ingredients, warm thoroughly.
  • Step #4 2.
  • Step #5 remove this from heat & add next 6 ingredients.
  • Step #6 Return to low heat and mix until bubbly.

  • Step #8 Dampen & dice bread.
  • Step #9 Add to mixture & stir well.
  • Step #10 4.
  • Step #11 Add ground beef & cook for 15 mins.
  • Step #12 5.
  • Step #13 Fill a shallow greased casserole dish with Baboti mixture.
  • Step #14 6.
  • Step #15 Beat egg with milk.
  • Step #16 Add salt & pepper to taste.
  • Step #17 Pour over Baboti mixture.
  • Step #18 7.
  • Step #19 bake this at 350 degrees for 45 mins (until custard is golden).
  • Step #20 8.
  • Step #21 serve this with yellow rice & salad.
