Almond Persimmon Pudding Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 c Powdered sugar sifted
  • 2 c Flour
  • 5 tb To 6 tb milk
  • 1 c Butter
  • 1/2 c almond paste lightly packed
  • 1/2 c Sugar
  • 1 ts Almond extract
  • 1 Egg white
  • 1/2 ts Cinnamon

Directions
  • Step #1 Food coloring Place almond paste in food processor/blender with metal blade in place: process until finely sliced.
  • Step #2 Add butter & sugar; process until thoroughly mixed.
  • Step #3 Add egg white; process until smooth.
  • Step #4 Add flour and cinnamon; process until dough forms a ball.
  • Step #5 remove this from processor; wrap in plastic & chill 1/2 hr or until firm.
  • Step #6 Roll dough on lightly floured work surface, approximately 1/4 inch thick.
  • Step #7 Cut into desired shapes.
  • Step #8 TRansfer to a lightly greased baking sheet; bake this at 325F degrees, 10-12 mins, until lightly browned.
  • Step #9 Removed cookies to a rack to cool.
  • Step #10 Mix together powdered sugar, milk & almond extract.
  • Step #11 Divide glaze into separate bowls & tint each bowl as desired with food coloring.
  • Step #12 Spread cookies with glaze and allow to dry & harden before serving.
