Ingredients
  • 2 3/4 c All-purpose flour
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 1 tb Double-acting baking powder
  • 1/3 c Nonfat dry milk powder
  • 6 tb Solid vegetable shortening
  • 1 tb Sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 To vary the mix, replace half of the flour with whole-wheat flour or cornmeal.
  • Step #2 mix flour, sugar, dry milk, baking powder, salt and shortening in food processor/blender.
  • Step #3 Pulse until mixture is well mixed and smooth.
  • Step #4 store this in container with tight-fitting cover in cool place for up to 4 weeks.
  • Step #5 Stir well before using.
