Aloha For Six: Lime Custard With Mango Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 ts Butter
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 1/2 lb Unsalted macadamia or whole cashew nuts
  • 2 ts Liquid honey
  • 1/2 ts Ground cumin
  • 3/4 ts Curry powder

Directions
  • Step #1 If salted nuts are used, eliminate salt from the ingredient list.
  • Step #2 Place macadamia nuts in large bowl; set aside.
  • Step #3 In saucepan or microwaveable bowl, curry powder, butter, cumin & salt over low heat/flame until mixed; pour over nuts, heat honey, stirring to coat well.
  • Step #4 Spread a single layer on baking sheet; bake in 325F=160C oven, stirring frequently, for 10-15 mins or until lightly roasted and fragrant.
  • Step #5 Let cool completely.
  • Step #6 Nuts can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
