Ingredients
2 ts Grated lemon rind
2 ea Cloved of garlic, minced
2 ts Shrimp or anchovy paste
3/4 ts Dried ground chili peppers
1/4 c Finely shredded cabbage
1 ts Ground coriander
5 c Coconut cream
3 lb Top sirloin, 1/4" thick
1 ts Salt
1 ts Ground caraway seeds
2 tb Minced green onions
1/2 ts Freshly ground black pepper
1/4 ts Basil
Directions
Step #1 lb or chop together the chili peppers, cabbage, coriander, caraway seeds, black pepper, shallots, lemon rind, salt, garlic, & basil.
Step #2 Cut the meat in 1"x4" strips.
Step #3 Bring half of the coconut cream to a boil, add the meat, cover & cook over low hat for 20 mins.
Step #4 stir in the the spice mixutre, shrimp paste, and remaining coconut cream.
Step #5 Cook 15 mins longer.
Step #6 Serve with rice.
Step #7 Kaeng Phed.
