Step #1 --TOPPING----- 4 oz Semisweet chocolate 2 tb Butter 2 tb Salad oil 1/8 ts Pure vanilla extract Crushed peanuts (opt) White chocolate shavings Dark chocolate shavings For the crust, crush the wafers & pat the crumbs into a greased 9" pie pan, pressing evenly ont the bottom & sides.
Step #2 For the filling, whip the cream cheese until fluffy.
Step #3 Slowly mix in the sugar, peanut butter, & melted butted.
Step #4 Whip the cream & vanilla until firm.
Step #5 mix 1/3 c of the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture.
Step #6 Fold this mixture into the remaining whipped cream until totally mixed.
Step #7 Fill the pie shell, smooth the top, & chill in the freezer for at least 20 mins.
Step #8 For the topping, mix all but the optional ingredients & melt them in the top of a double boiler until the chocolate melts.
Step #9 Cool slightly.
Step #10 Spread the mixture on the cooled peanut butter pie, starting from the center & working out.
Step #11 Chill or freeze until ready to serve.
Step #12 If desired, decorate the top this with crushed peanuts and white & dark chocolate shavings before serving.
