Ken Hom's Fried Rice Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 tb Chili Powder
  • 4 oz Can V8 juice
  • 2 tb Cumin
  • 1 Jalapeno, FC
  • 3/4 c Onion, sliced
  • 1 tb Salt
  • 1 ts Oregano
  • 1 tb Red Pepper
  • 1 1/2 c Boiling water
  • 1 sm Can tomato paste
  • 3 lb Beef Brisket, sliced
  • 1 tb Paprika
  • 1 ts Black pepper
  • 1 Tomato, FC
  • 1 tb Dry Mustard
  • 1/2 Can cheap beer
  • 2 cl Garlic, minced
  • 1 ts Ginger
  • 1 lg Can tomato sauce

Directions
  • Step #1 Only use Brisket.
  • Step #2 DO NOT USE GROUND BEEF.
  • Step #3 The best chili is made from slow simmered brisket.
  • Step #4 Brown the brisket with a little oil.
  • Step #5 Drain & remove meat.
  • Step #6 Saute onion & garlic in the left over oil.
  • Step #7 Add all the spices & let pan roast.
  • Step #8 Add the beef back to the pot & add the tomato paste, tomato sauce, water, jalapeno, V8 juice, tomato, & beer.
  • Step #9 Cover & let simmer for 3 hr.
  • Step #10 Add more beer if chili gets too dry.
