Kentucky Fried Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c Sugar
  • 6 lg Egg yolks
  • 1/2 ts Vanilla
  • 1/4 c Bourbon
  • 1/4 ts Nutmeg
  • 2 1/2 c Milk

Directions
  • Step #1 In a medium saucepan beat egg yolks & sugar.
  • Step #2 Slowly beat in 2 c of the milk.
  • Step #3 Cook over med-heat/flame, stirring frequently, until themometer registers 160 degrees or mixture coats back of a metal spoon.
  • Step #4 remove this from heat; strain into a pitcher.
  • Step #5 stir in the remaining milk, bourbon, vanilla & nutmeg.
  • Step #6 Cover & chill at least 8 hrs.
  • Step #7 When served Sprinkle top with extra nutmeg.
