Kohl's Chulupa Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 ts Baking soda
  • 1 ts Vanilla
  • 2 tb Cocoa
  • 2 c Sugar
  • 1 c Water
  • 1/2 c Crisco shortening
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 ts Cinnamon
  • 1 Stick oleo
  • 2 c Flour
  • 1/2 c Buttermilk

Directions
  • Step #1 NOTE: Requires a 16 x 11 x 1 or 11 x 17 x 1 pan.
  • Step #2 Sift together: Cinnamon, flour, sugar, & baking soda.
  • Step #3 Bring to boil: Oleo, Crisco, cocoa, & water.
  • Step #4 Pour over the flour mixture.
  • Step #5 Mix well, then add buttermilk, eggs & vanilla.
  • Step #6 Mix well.
  • Step #7 pour this into a well greased shallow pan (see note).
  • Step #8 Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Step #9 You'll have to test this according to your oven, then add the time required to this recipe.
  • Step #10 Frost the hot cake with chocolate frosting & top this with nuts.
  • Step #11 NOTE: Fudge frosting is best on this sheath cake! Taken.
