Amaretto Sour Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 ea Whole wheat double pie crust
  • 1/4 c Butter
  • 1/2 ts Arrowroot
  • 3 tb Flour
  • 1/4 c Maple syrup
  • 6 c Sliced peaches
  • 1/2 ts Nutmeg
  • 1/8 c Honey
  • 1/3 c Amaretto
  • 3 tb Lemon juice

Directions
  • Step #1 Place peaches in bottom of 9-inch pie crust.
  • Step #2 In saucepan, heat together honey, butter, & maple syrup until just melted.
  • Step #3 stir in the arrowroot; mixture will thicken.
  • Step #4 Add Amaretto, flour, lemon juice and nutmeg.
  • Step #5 Pour liquid over peaches.
  • Step #6 Cover with top pie crust.
  • Step #7 Seal edges & cut small holes in top crust.
  • Step #8 bake this at 350 degrees for 60 mins or until pie is golden brown & bubbling at holes.
  • Step #9 Serves 6.
