Angel Food Ice Cream Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 lb Chocolate almond bark,
  • 1 tb Vinegar
  • ...melted
  • 1 c Sugar
  • 1 tb Baking soda
  • 1 c Dark corn syrup

Directions
  • Step #1 In a heavy saucepan, mix sugar, corn syrup & vinegar.
  • Step #2 Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.
  • Step #3 Cook without stirring until the temperature reaches 300F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer.
  • Step #4 Do not overcook.
  • Step #5 remove this from the heat & quickly stir in the baking soda.
  • Step #6 pour this into a buttered 13-in.
  • Step #7 x 9-in.
  • Step #8 x 2-in.
  • Step #9 baking pan.
  • Step #10 When cool, break into bitesize pieces.
  • Step #11 Dip into melted chocolate; place on waxed paper until the chocolate is firm.
  • Step #12 Store candy tightly covered.
  • Step #13 Yield: 1-1/2 lbs.
