Ingredients
  • 1/2 ts BAKING SODA
  • 1/2 ts APPLE PIE SPICE
  • 2 1/2 c ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
  • 1 EGG
  • 1 c CHEDDAR CHEESE, SHREDDED
  • 1 c SUGAR
  • 1/4 c APPLE BUTTER
  • 1 c BUTTER/MARGARINE, SOFTENED

Directions
  • Step #1 MIX SUGAR, BUTTER, APPLE BUTTER & EGG.
  • Step #2 stir in the REMAINING INGREDIENTS.
  • Step #3 COVER & put in the fridge AT LEAST 2 hrs.
  • Step #4 DIVIDE DOUGH IN HALF.
  • Step #5 SHAPE EACH HALF INTO ROLL, ABOUT 1 1/2 INCHES IN DIAMETER AND OUT 8 INCHES LONG.
  • Step #6 WRAP & put in the fridge AT LEAST 4 hrs.
  • Step #7 HEAT OVEN TO 400F DEGREES.
  • Step #8 CUT ROLLS INTO 1/8-INCH SLICES.
  • Step #9 PLACE ABOUT 1 INCH APART ON UNGREASED COOKIE SHEET.
  • Step #10 BAKE 7 TO 9 mins OR UNTIL EDGES ARE LIGHT BROWN; COOL.
  • Step #11 ABOUT 6 DOZEN COOKIES; 55 CALORIES PER COOKIE.
