Apple Cranberry Upside-down Tart Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 ts Cinnamon
  • Milk
  • 1 tb Butter or margarine
  • 5 c Peeled apple slices
  • Double Crust Pie Crust
  • 1/4 c Corn starch
  • Sugar
  • 1/3 c Corn syrup, light or dark
  • 2 c Cranberries, fresh or frozen
  • 3/4 c Sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Prepare pie crusts for filled two-crust pie using 9-inch pan.
  • Step #2 Heat oven to 450F.
  • Step #3 In a large bowl, stir sugar, corn starch & cinnamon until well mixed.
  • Step #4 In another large bowl, mix apples, cranberries and corn syrup.
  • Step #5 Add fruit to sugar mixture.
  • Step #6 Mix to mix.
  • Step #7 Spoon into pie crust-lined pan.
  • Step #8 Dot with butter.
  • Step #9 top this with second crust; flute.
  • Step #10 Cut four 4-inch slashes in center of crust forming a criss-cross design.
  • Step #11 Peel back center points & press lightly in crust to hod & form 8 petals.
  • Step #12 Brush crust with milk; Sprinkle top with sugar.
  • Step #13 bake this at 450F for 10 mins.
  • Step #14 Reduce temperature to 350F; continue baking 40 to 45 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #15 Cool completely on wire rack.
  • Step #16 store this in refrigerator.
