Ingredients
  • 1/2 c Corn Flakes
  • 1/2 c Unbleached Flour; Sifted
  • 1/2 ts Nutmeg Or Cinnamon
  • 3 tb Orange Juice
  • 1 tb Butter
  • 6 c Apples; Pared, Cored, And Sliced, About 2 Lbs
  • 1 tb Orange Rind; Grated
  • 3 tb Orange Juice
  • 2 tb Brown Or Granulated Sugar
  • 1/3 c Brown Sugar; Firmly Packed
  • 2 tb Butter Or Margarine

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat the oven to 375 Degrees F.
  • Step #2 Arrange the apples in a greased 10 X 6 X 2-Inch baking dish.
  • Step #3 Sprinkle top with 2 T of sugar then with 3 T of orange juice.
  • Step #4 Work 1/3 c Brown Sugar & 2 T butter until creamy.
  • Step #5 Add the next 4 ingredients & mix until crumbly.
  • Step #6 Spread on the apples.
  • Step #7 Sprinkle top with 3 T of orange juice & dot with 1 T butter.
  • Step #8 Bake in a moderately hot oven of 375 degrees F.
  • Step #9 , for 45 mins.
  • Step #10 To Serve; Serve hot or cold with whipped cream if desired.
