1 ts Ground ginger
1/2 ts Ground cumin

Directions
Step #1 Keftas, from North Africa, are meatballs prepared with ground lamb or beef & a number of herbs & spices.
Step #2 They appear in a variety of dishes, such as stews, & also as brochettes hot off the charcoal grill.
Step #3 The Spice upings range from chili to cinnamon & usually include a Moroccan favorite, fresh mint.
Step #4 These keftas are delicious served with pita bread, low-fat yogurt, tomatoes & lettuce or with cooked rice.
Step #5 Note: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20 mins.

Step #11 Alternatively, broil the meatballs for 2 mins on each side.
