Ingredients
1 tb Minced fresh ginger
1 ts Cinnamon,
2 ts Ground tumeric
1 ts Ground mustard seeds
2 tb Ground coriander seeds
1 lg Onion, sliced
4 c Unflavored yogurt
2 tb Clarified butter
4 Green chile peppers, sliced
1 lg Onion, minced
2 lb Boneless lamb, cubed
Salt to taste
2 Garlic cloves, minced
1 ts Ground cumin seeds
Directions
Step #1 Place chiles, garlic, ginger, mined onion, spices & yogurt in a mixer or food processor/blender & process until well mixed.
Step #2 Spoon mixture over lamb, tossing to coat well, cover & put in the fridge for 3 hrs.
Step #3 Saute sliced onion in clarified butter.
Step #4 Do not let onion brown.
Step #5 Add lamb & the yogurt marinade, mix all together; cover & let simmer until meat is tender, 1 to 1 1/2 hrs.
Step #6 Spice up this with salt to taste.
