Laura's Allergic Strawberry Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • 16 ea Luau leaves
  • 1/3 lb Butterfish or salmon
  • 1 lb Pork butt
  • 8 ea Ti leaves

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut fish into 4 pieces & soak in water for 70 mins.
  • Step #2 Cut pork butt into 4 pieces.
  • Step #3 Prepare luau leaves by stripping outer skin of stem & leaf veins to prevent itching in throat when consumed.
  • Step #4 Wash & remove tough ribs from Ti leaves.
  • Step #5 Lay 2 ti leaves on cutting board.
  • Step #6 Place 4 luau leaves in center.
  • Step #7 Place a piece of pork & a piece of fish on luau leaves.
  • Step #8 Fold luau leaves over meat and fish to form a bundle.
  • Step #9 Tie ends of ti leaves & steam for 3 to 4 hrs.
  • Step #10 you may substitute 1 to 1 1/2 lb.
  • Step #11 spinach for luau leaves.
