Lazy Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 ts Salt
  • 3 tb Margarine
  • 1/2 c Half 'n half
  • 1 1/2 c Rice
  • 1 c Canned tomatoes
  • 1 Small onion
  • 1/2 ts Pepper
  • 2 c Coarsely sliced cabbage

Directions
  • Step #1 Steam the rice in 2 c ofboiling water & salt till water is absorbed but rice is only partially cooked.
  • Step #2 Saute onion in margarine till transparent.
  • Step #3 Add pepper.
  • Step #4 Add tomatoes & heat.
  • Step #5 Add cabbage.
  • Step #6 Add to the rice.
  • Step #7 Lastly, pour in the half 'n half.
  • Step #8 The mixture should be quite soupy.
  • Step #9 If too thick, add another 1/2 to 3/4 c water.
  • Step #10 Pour the mixture into the greased 2 qt.
  • Step #11 casserole.
  • Step #12 Cover and cook in the oven for roughly 1 hr.
  • Step #13 at 325F.
  • Step #14 until liquid is absorbed.
  • Step #15 Serve as a side dish with meat & potatoes.
