Lemon Butter Frosting:::gwhp32a Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 c Confectioners' sugar; sifted
  • 1 ts Lemon rind
  • 1 ds Salt
  • 6 tb Butter
  • 1/4 c Lemon juice

Directions
  • Step #1 Add lemon rind to butter; cream well Add part of the sugar slowly, mixing after each addition.
  • Step #2 add in the remaining sugar, alternately with lemon juice, until right consistency to spread.
  • Step #3 Beat thoroughly after each addition.
  • Step #4 Add salt.
  • Step #5 Makes enough frosting to cover tops and sides of two 9-inch layers or tops & sides two 8x8x2-inch layers.
