Apple-plum Butter Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 ts Vanilla extract
  • 3 tb Powdered sugar; sifted
  • 2 c Apple; sliced
  • 9 Sheets commercial frozen phyllo pastry; thawed
  • 1/2 ts ;water
  • 1/4 ts Ground nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 ts Brown sugar
  • Butter flavored vegetable cooking spray
  • 12 ts Ground cinnamon

Directions
  • Step #1 Coat a nonstick skillet with cooking spray; place over med-heat/flame until hot.
  • Step #2 Add sliced apple; saute 8 to 10 mins, stirring often.
  • Step #3 Add cinnamon, nutmeg & brown sugar; str well, & cook an extra 3 mins.
  • Step #4 remove this from heat, & let cool.
  • Step #5 Coat a flat surface with cooking spray; place 1 sheet of phyllo on surface (keep remaining phyllo covered).
  • Step #6 Coat phyllo with butter-flavored cooking spray.
  • Step #7 Layer 2 more sheets phyllo on first sheet, coating each with cooking spray.
  • Step #8 CUT Vertically into 5 equal strips; cut strips in half to make 10 pieces.
  • Step #9 Repeat process with remaining phyllo sheets, spraying each sheet with cooking spray.
  • Step #10 Spoon 1 1/2 tsp apple mixture at base of each strip; roll up, jelly roll fashion.
  • Step #11 Place, seam side down, on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
  • Step #12 bake this at 375 deg for 30 to 35 mins or until golen.
  • Step #13 Remove to wire rack to cool slightly.
  • Step #14 mix remaining ingredients in a small bowl; stir well.
  • Step #15 Drizzle 1 1/2 ts glaze over each roll.
  • Step #16 Serve warm.
