Ingredients
  • Creamy Topping
  • 1 1/2 ts Baking soda
  • 3 lg Apples; peeled/sliced
  • 1 1/2 c Applesauce
  • 1 ts Cinnamon, ground
  • 1 1/3 c Butter; softened
  • 1 1/3 c Cream, heavy
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 5 ts Baking powder
  • 3 ts Extract, vanilla
  • 1 3/4 c Juice, apple, concentrated
  • 5 Eggs
  • 5 ts Cinnamon, ground
  • 5 1/4 c Flour

Directions
  • Step #1 preheat your trusty oven to 375.
  • Step #2 Beat butter in large bowl until creamy.
  • Step #3 mix in eggs, juice, & applesauce.
  • Step #4 mix dry ingredients.
  • Step #5 slowly add to egg mixture, beating until well mixed.
  • Step #6 stir in the appls.
  • Step #7 Spread batter evenly into greased 8" square baking pan.
  • Step #8 Bake 20-25 mins, until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Step #9 Cool on wire rack.
  • Step #10 Cut into squares.
  • Step #11 Serve warm or at room temperature, with Creamy Topping if desired.
  • Step #12 Creamy Topping: Beat cream in small bowl at high speed of electric mixer until soft peaks form.
  • Step #13 Beat in vanilla & cinnamon until stiff peaks form.
