Apricot-and-bread Pudding Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tb Ginger
  • 2 ea Orange, thinly sliced
  • 6 1/2 c Sugar
  • 4 qt Water, warm
  • 1 lb Apricot, dried
  • 2 ea Lemon, thinly sliced
  • 2 1/4 c Brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c Raisins
  • 1/2 c Yeast

Directions
  • Step #1 Wash the apricots in several waters & then dry them & cut in halves.
  • Step #2 place this in a large crock & pour on the warm water, reserving 1/2 c of it in which to dissolve the yeast cake.
  • Step #3 stir in the the sugars, fruit, raisins & ginger.
  • Step #4 Then add the dissolved yeast and mix well.
  • Step #5 Cover with top of the crock & let this stand for thirty days, stirring the mixture every other day.
  • Step #6 After thirty days strain the mixture & bottle.
