Aunt Susie's Noodle Kugel Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c Sour cream
  • 1 x Salt & pepper; to taste
  • 6 c Fine noodles;
  • 1 ea Cube margarine
  • 3 ea Extra large eggs; beaten

Directions
  • Step #1 cooked & drained 1 very large onion, finely sliced This fine dish was made by my Aunt Sadie Jean Greenfield Gibrich in the "ol days" before we knew what cholesterol was.
  • Step #2 We used to saute the onion in 1 c pure rendered chicken fat.
  • Step #3 Did this taste good!! Look for the fine noodles in the Jewish section of your supermarket.
  • Step #4 Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Step #5 Pam Spray 9 x 13 inch pan.
  • Step #6 (Pam is Barbara's Saute onion in fat until onion is clear but not brown.
  • Step #7 Add to cooked nood along with sour cream, eggs, salt & pepper.
  • Step #8 Transfer to sprayed casserol dish & bake 375 for about 40 mins until set & lightly browned on top Good served with brisket of beef & sweet & sour red cabbage.
