Lemon Yogurt Pound Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 ts Baking powder
  • 2 c Flour, white, unbleached
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 1/3 c Sugar
  • 1/4 c Butter, unsalted, melted and cooled
  • INGREDIENTS
  • 2 tb Honey
  • 1/3 c Lemon juice, fresh
  • LEMON SYRUP
  • 1 ts Baking soda
  • 1 tb Lemon zest, grated
  • 1 1/4 c Yogurt
  • 1/4 c Sugar
  • 2 Eggs, lightly beaten

Directions
  • Step #1 Calories per serving: Number of Servings: 12 Fat grams per serving: : Approx.
  • Step #2 Cook Time: 20min Cholesterol per serving: Marks: DIRECTIONS preheat your trusty oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Step #3 Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda & salt.
  • Step #4 In a seperate bowl, butter, 1/4 c sugar, yogurt, whisk together eggs, honey & lemon zest.
  • Step #5 Add the flour mixture & fold until just mixd.
  • Step #6 Spoon into buttered muffin tins & bake for 15 to 20 mins.
  • Step #7 While the muffins are baking, mix lemon juice, 1/3 c sugar & 3 tbsps water.
  • Step #8 When the muffins are done, remove them from the oven & pierce the top of each one several times with a fork.
  • Step #9 Brush the syrup over the top of each one.
  • Step #10 Let the muffins cool in the tins for three mins, then cool on a rack.
  • Step #11 Makes 12 muffins.
