Limas In Sour Cream Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c Dry bread crumbs
  • 1 c 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • 1/4 ts Thyme leaves
  • 1 tb Parsley flakes
  • 4 Cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 lb Bulk Italian sausage
  • 2 c 1 lb. each lima beans
  • 1/4 c Butter
  • 1/4 c sliced onion
  • 1/4 ts Rosemary leaves

Directions
  • Step #1 Crumble sausage; add onion & garlic.
  • Step #2 Saute in a skillet until sausage is browned, stirring & breaking up with a fork while cooking.
  • Step #3 Crush rosemary leaves & add to sausage, along with thyme leaves & tomato sauce.
  • Step #4 Simmer 15 mins.
  • Step #5 Drain limas; add to sausage mixture.
  • Step #6 stir this to mix well.
  • Step #7 Transfer to a 1 1/2 quart casserole.
  • Step #8 Melt butter; stir in theto bread crumbs & parsley flakes, tossing lightly.
  • Step #9 Spoon over top of bean mixture.
  • Step #10 Bake in 350 degree oven 1 hr or until crumbs are golden.
