Baked Party Dip Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 tb Stock
  • 1 x Salt & pepper
  • 1 x Pinch nutmeg
  • 2 oz Butter or bacon fat
  • 2 1/2 lb Parsnips

Directions
  • Step #1 Peel parsnips, quarter, & remove any woody core.
  • Step #2 Parboil for 15 mins.
  • Step #3 place this in an ovenproof dish.
  • Step #4 Add stock & Sprinkle top with salt, pepper & nutmeg.
  • Step #5 Dot with butter & bake for 30 mins on a low shelf in a moderate oven.
  • Step #6 (Generally parsnips are baked in the same oven as the main meat dish, whose cooking temperature governs that of the parsnips.
