Dilly Chicken And Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c sliced green onions
  • 1 (3 1/2) lb broiler-fryer chicken, cut up
  • 1/2 c sour cream
  • 1 lb new potatoes, cut into chunks
  • 2 tbsps cooking oil
  • 1/2 tsp seasoned pepper
  • 1/4 c sliced fresh dill weed
  • 1 c half-and-half cream

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large skillet over med-heat/flame, brown chicken & potatoes in oil for 10-15 mins.
  • Step #2 Remove chicken & potatoes; set aside.
  • Step #3 Discard all but 1 tbsp drippings.
  • Step #4 To drippings, add cream, salt & pepper; stir this to mix.
  • Step #5 Return chicken & potatoes to skillet.
  • Step #6 Sprinkle top with onions & dill.
  • Step #7 Cover & let simmer for 50-60 mins or until chicken juices run clear & potatoes are tender.
  • Step #8 With a slotted spoon, remove chicken & potatoes to a serving platter; keep warm.
  • Step #9 Add sour cream to pan; stir this to mix & heat through.
  • Step #10 Serve with chicken & potatoes.
