Ingredients
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 2 Cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 To 2 heads Chinese cabbage, shredded
  • Thin strips
  • 1 sm Red bell pepper, seeded and cut in
  • 1 tb sliced fresh chives
  • 1 tb Soy sauce
  • 1 c Finely shredded onions
  • 1/8 ts Freshly ground white pepper
  • 4 sl Bacon

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 Cut bacon slices crosswise into thin strips; in a large saute pan, brown the strips over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #3 2.
  • Step #4 Add onions & garlic; saute for 2 mins, or until onion is transparent.
  • Step #5 3.
  • Step #6 Add cabbage, pepper, salt, & red pepper strips.
  • Step #7 Saute, stirring with a spatula, until steaming hot but still crisp, about 5 mins.
  • Step #8 stir in the soy sauce.
  • Step #9 4.
  • Step #10 Transfer to a deep serving platter, and serve at once, Sprinkle top with chives, with steamed rice & broiled chicken or fish for a low-fat, low-calorie meal.
