Low-calorie Apple Dressing Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c Fresh parsley, coarse chop
  • 1/2 ts Dried basil
  • 28 oz Canned tomatoes, drained
  • 3 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 ts Pepper
  • 1 tb Olive oil
  • 3 tb Parmesan, freshly grated
  • 1 1/2 c Bread cubes, small, fresh use French or Italian

Directions
  • Step #1 Spread bread crumbs on rimmed baking sheet; Bake in 375F 190C oven or toast in toaster oven for about 5 mins or until crisp & lightly browned.
  • Step #2 Meanwhile, cut tomatoes into quarters.
  • Step #3 In shallow 6-c casserole, mix tomatoes, parsley, garlic, oil, basil & pepper.
  • Step #4 stir in the bread; Sprinkle top cheese over top.
  • Step #5 Bake, uncovered, in 375F 190C oven for about 20 mins or until heated through.
  • Step #6 Per Serving: about 125 calories, 5 g protein, 6 g fat, 14 g carbohydrate.
