Low-calorie Tomato Dressing Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 ts Grated lemon peel
  • 1/2 c Reconstituted nonfat dry milk
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 ds Salt
  • 1 1/2 ts Baking powder
  • 3/4 c Sugar
  • 1 c Sifted, all-purpose flour

Directions
  • Step #1 Nonfat dry milk to which you've added the requisite amount of water.
  • Step #2 In small saucepan, heat milk until bubbles form around edge of pan.
  • Step #3 remove this from heat.
  • Step #4 Set aside.
  • Step #5 preheat your trusty oven to 350.
  • Step #6 Sift flour with baking powder & salt.
  • Step #7 Set aside.
  • Step #8 In a small bowl, eggs, mix at high speed, until thick & lemon colored.
  • Step #9 slowly add sugar, beating until mixture is smooth & well mixed.

  • Step #13 At lowish speed, mix in flour mixture until smooth.
  • Step #14 Add warm milk and peel, beating until mixd.
  • Step #15 as soon as possible pour batter into ungreased, 9-inch angel food pan.
  • Step #16 Bake 30 min.
  • Step #17 , or until cake tester inserted in center, comes out clean.
  • Step #18 Invert pan over neck of bottle.
  • Step #19 Let cool completely.
  • Step #20 Makes 10 servings.
