Low-fat Granola Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 ds Ground nutmeg
  • 2 tb Cornstarch
  • 1 ds Garlic powder
  • 1/4 c Water
  • 1/2 ts Marjoram
  • 6 oz Orange juice, frozen concent
  • 3 Chicken breasts; split

Directions

  • Step #2 1.
  • Step #3 mix thawed orange juice concentrate (not regular orange juice) in bowl along with the marjoram, garlic powder & nutmeg.
  • Step #4 Split the chicken breasts to make 6 serving sizes.
  • Step #5 Dip each piece into the orange juice to coat completely.
  • Step #6 place this in crockpot.
  • Step #7 Pour the remaining orange juice mixture over the chicken.
  • Step #8 2.
  • Step #9 Cover & cook on low for 7-9 hrs, or cook on high for 4 hrs if you wish.
  • Step #10 Precise cooking time is not important in crockpot cooking.
  • Step #11 3.
  • Step #12 When chicken is done, remove to serving platter.
  • Step #13 Pour the sauce that remains in crockpot into a saucepan.
  • Step #14 Mix the cornstarch & water & stir in theto the juice in pan.
  • Step #15 Cook over med-heat/flame, stirring constantly, until thick & bubbly.
  • Step #16 Serve the sauce over the chicken.
