Step #1 mix sugar, milk, butter, cornstarch, 1 tbsp lemon rind, lemon juice, & egg yolks in a heavy saucepan.
Step #2 Cook over med-heat/flame unitl smooth & thickend, stirring constantly; cover & cool.
Step #3 Fold sour cream into filling, & pour inot pastry shell; chill at least 2 hrs before serving.
Step #4 top this with whipped cream; garnish with grated lemon rind, if desired.
