Ingredients
1 ts Brown sugar
2 ts Ginger, fresh grated
1 c Bean sprouts, fresh
1/4 c Peanut oil
1 lb Flank steak
5 tb Soy sauce
1/2 c Green pepper, thinly sliced
2 ts Cornstarch
2 ts Garlic, minced
1 c Cauliflower, small florets
1 c Carrots, matchstick size
1 c Mushrooms, sliced thin
Directions
Step #1 1.
Step #2 Place the steak on a flat surface and, using a sharp knife, cut against the grain into slices about 2-in.
Step #3 wide.
Step #4 Slice each piece of steak horizontally into 2 or 3 pieces.
Step #5 Stack the slices & cut into 1/4-in.
Step #6 strips.
Step #7 2.
Step #8 Add the cornstrach to the steak & toss to coat.
Step #9 Place the steak in a bowl & Sprinkle top it over the sugar & soy sauce.
Step #10 Set aside.
Step #11 3.
Step #12 Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok or large skillet & add the cauliflower, green pepper & carrot.
Step #13 Cook, stirring, until crisp-tender.
Step #14 4.
Step #15 Add the mushrooms & cook, stirring, about 30 sec.
Step #16 longer.
Step #17 Add the bean sprouts & stir-fry for a few sec.
Step #18 longer.
Step #19 5.
Step #20 Remove the vegetables with a slotted spoon & set aside.
Step #21 6.
Step #22 Add the remaining oil to the wok or skillet.
Step #23 When it is very hot, add the ginger & garlic & cook, stirring, for a few sec.
Step #24 Add the steak & cook, shaking the wok & stirring the strips of steak to separate them & cook evenly, about 1-2 min.
Step #25 7.
Step #26 Return the vegetables to the wok & toss quickly over high heat, then serve.
