Step #1 1/2 c water -- see note 1 sm cabbage -- cut up see note 4 TB corn oil : salt -- to taste : pepper -- to taste Bring water to boil, using 1/2 c water if cabbage is small or up to one c if cabbage is larger.
Step #2 Add the cabbage & oil, cover & cook for about 15 mins.
Step #3 The cabbage should be soft.
Step #4 Spice up this with salt & pepper & serve hot with cornbread.
