• 1 c Maple syrup
• 1 ts Salt
• 2 1/4 c Flour
• 2 ea Eggs
• 1/2 c Milk

• Step #1 Sift dry ingredients together into bowl.
• Step #2 Add syrup, shortening and milk; beat 2 mins.
• Step #3 Add eggs & beat 2 mins.
• Step #4 Add choppeed nuts & mix well.
• Step #5 pour this into 2 greased & floured 9" pans.
• Step #6 Bake in 350? oven for 25 to 30 mins.
• Step #7 Frost.
