Banana Nut Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c Bananas; ripe, mashed
  • 1 3/4 c Flour
  • 1 ts Baking powder
  • 1/2 ts Baking soda
  • 1/3 c Shortening
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 c Sugar
  • 1/2 c Walnuts

Directions
  • Step #1 Cream together shortening & sugar, add eggs & beat well.
  • Step #2 Sift dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture alternately with banana, mixing well after each addition.
  • Step #3 stir in the nuts.
  • Step #4 pour this into well-greased 4 to 6 c mold.
  • Step #5 Cover with foil & tie.
  • Step #6 Pour 2 c hot water in slow cooker.
  • Step #7 Place mold on rack or trivet in pot.
  • Step #8 Cover & cook on high 2 to 3 hrs or until bread is done.
  • Step #9 Serve warm or cool, with butter or cream cheese or peanut butter.
