Bananas Foster Custard Recipe

Ingredients
  • Crumbled
  • 1 1/2 c Heavy cream
  • 4 Eggs
  • 5 c Up bananas
  • 1/2 c Butter, melted
  • 1 c Banana liqueur
  • 10 oz Loaf stale French bread,
  • 2 tb Vanilla
  • 1 tb Cinnamon
  • 1 c sliced pecans
  • 2 c Sugar
  • 1 1/2 c Milk

Directions
  • Step #1 mix bread, cream, milk, vanilla, sugar, butter, eggs, banana liqueur, bananas, pecans & cinnamon.
  • Step #2 Mixture should be very moist but not soupy.
  • Step #3 (It should look like cooked oatmeal.
  • Step #4 ) pour this into buttered 9x12" or larger baking dish.
  • Step #5 place this into a non-preheated oven.
  • Step #6 bake this at 350 degrees for about 1 hr & 15 mins.
  • Step #7 Serve warm with sauce.
  • Step #8 Serves 16 to 20 (unless you invite me).
  • Step #9 Bananas Foster Sauce 1/2 c butter 2 c dark brown sugar 4 oz banana liqueur 4 oz dark rum Cinnamon Melt butter & add brown sugar to form a creamy paste.
  • Step #10 Let this mixture caramelize over heat for about 5 mins.
  • Step #11 stir in the banana liqueur & rum.
  • Step #12 Heat & ignite.
  • Step #13 Agitate to keep flame burning, and add a few pinches of voodoo magic (cinnamon) to the flame.
  • Step #14 Let flames go out & serve warm over warm bread pudding.
