Barbecued Brisket Of Beef Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 ts Minced garlic
  • 1/4 c Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 ts Hot sauce
  • 2 tb Lemon juice
  • 1/4 c Butter, melted
  • 2 tb White vinegar
  • 6 lb Beef brisket
  • 1/2 ts Pepper
  • 16 oz Tomato sauce
  • 1 ts Minced garlic
  • 4 Medium onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 tb Cornstarch
  • 2 c Water, divided
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 1/2 c sliced onion
  • 2 ts Chili powder

Directions
  • Step #1 Trim excess fat from brisket & place fat side up in a roasting pan.
  • Step #2 Sprinkle top with salt, pepper, & garlic.
  • Step #3 Place onion slices over meat.
  • Step #4 Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 1 1/2 hrs.
  • Step #5 mix 1 1/2 c water, tomato sauce, & next 8 ingredients; pour over brisket.
  • Step #6 Cover with aluminum foil & bake 2 hrs or until tender, spooning sauce over brisket every once in awhile.
  • Step #7 Transfer brisket to serving platter andpan juices to a saucepan.
  • Step #8 mix cornstarch & remaining 1/2 c water.
  • Step #9 slowly add to pan juices, stirring constantly.
  • Step #10 Bring to a boil; boil 1 min, stirring constantly.
  • Step #11 serve this with brisket.
