Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 lb Bay or sea scallops
  • 3 tb Hoisin sauce
  • 2 md Red peppers, cut into 1 1/2-inch squares
  • 1 tb Soy sauce
  • 1 tb Sugar
  • 2 tb Dry sherry

Directions
  • Step #1 Scallops & red pepper are skewered & brushed with a Hoisin-inspired barbecue sauce before being char-grilled for an Oriental flavor sensation.
  • Step #2 1.
  • Step #3 Alternately thread the red pepper & scallops on wooden skewers, beginning & ending with peppers.
  • Step #4 2.
  • Step #5 Mix together the Hoisin, soy, sherry, & sugar.
  • Step #6 Brush the shellfish & peppers with the sauce, coating well.
  • Step #7 3.
  • Step #8 Grill the kebobs over hot coals 4 inches from the heat.
